On the App Store, you’ll find more than enough cool apps for you to play around with. Of all of these apps that you can download, which could be games (more than likely), you may want the SpeakEasy speed test for the iPad. It’s one of those apps that can do some pretty good things for you, and while it is certainly something that you want to download, we’ll be sure to lay out some of the reasons why you’d like to do so. We like this as something that can obviously accurately do some speed tests for you, and it’s actually the highest rated speed test app that’s actually on the App Store at current, which is always a good thing.

What is it?

A speed test app is an app that will test your net speed, wherever you happen to be. People use this as a gauge to determine how fast you can load web pages or download some things. This is now possible on the iPad, and it’s just as easy as if you were to do it on your Apple laptop. There are some really cool things about this app, especially in its current form. Version 2.1.3, released November 22, 2011 is about 9.7 MB and it’s available in just quite a few languages.

This app states that it can do one-tap connection testing in less than 30 seconds, all because of their global network. It actually works very well and very quickly. One of the best things here is to consider is how easy it is, and that as to do with the fact that you don’t have to do too much. But, with a lot of apps, you won’t find that any of them are really easy, and most people come to the consideration that any app that requires a lot of steps is bad. With that in mind, the developers obviously keep at the forefront of their process, a move that translated wonderfully here.

The free app also scored well with the people who downloaded the app, which is easily the best thing about it (besides it being free, of course.) The current version got some really good reviews, but it’s actually the all-time reviews that it received, earning high marks for the versions of the product that they’ve released over quite some time. This is a substantial reason why people should download it, as people have loved and supported the product in the past, which means at the very least that it will be sufficient for your efforts, more often than not.

The SpeakEasy speed test app is one that really shines in the way that you’d like it to if you’re looking for a really good app. With this amount of support, there’s no reason why you’d believe that it won’t work in the way that you’d want it to, and neither do some of the specs. It also doesn’t look too bad, either. That’s usually a plus.

Many sites on the internet offer various services called speed tests or bandwidth tests. Similar to these Toast internet speed test service is one of these. These services produce the real time performance of the internet connection. Are the results of your internet connection accurate? To our knowledge we feel that the results are accurate and data produced is reliable. In common there are many factors that we should concentrate while doing the analysis and checking the test results for consistency.

Toast internet speed test has developed its speed test tool while working on the 56 Kbps modem and the internet access via EarthLink one of the services in United States. In Toast we are asked to select the name of the ISP in the text field and then you are said to choose the connection type from the drop down me. After selecting the connection type we need to choose the server type to run the tests. When the test is running it asks for work load, there are two work loads present in Toast, one is for smaller connections and the other is for the faster connections. Once the file is uploaded to the Toast internet speed test process based on the connectivity type Toast produces the performance of the internet by the text file and the graphical representation. Along with the internet connection we need to check the network and the system performance by using some small tools like dial-up networking and the performance monitor tool to check the system performance and the network performance.

According to the analysis made by the Toast team clarifies that the modems with 56k connection can have the speeds up to 70-90 Kbps. These results are possible when the smaller internet connections use the compression process for transferring the data. Most of the web pages include both the test and the graphics. When these similar types of web pages are accessed and any content is downloaded the network traffic seems to go up and we cannot access or the internet provides slow access. Over all Toast internet speed tester offers useful service to measure the performance of the internet. With the use of text and the image formats the user came to know about the basic forms of the workload that affect the internet performance. It is a known fact that the all the features discussed above are subject to the features and one cannot justify the actual performance of the network connectivity using the measurement values.

Internet speed test speakeasy one of the best services that is offered in the United States for testing the internet speed. Speakeasy is a privately managed, nationwide network which is built for speed, security and flexibility. It is also the largest suppliers of business class broadband with services Business DSL, T1 and Ethernet speed up to 20 Mbps. Along with the business class services it is also in to providing solutions to small and medium scale businesses of technology and communications.

Speakeasy is private network that is designed to meet the needs and the requirements of the customers. With its latest technology speakeasy is said to deliver reliable network paths for the data packets to travel, and maintain low latency for the loss of data during transmission. There are many factors that the Speakeasy speed test considers when implementing the applications. Speed test determines the time taken to transfer the numerical bits/bytes of data from the one system to another system irrespective of the connection and the performance. While doing the performance the Speakeasy Internet test connection checks the test results, download and upload of the connectivity, Kbps rate, transfer rate and latency.

Latency determines the delay of the data that is transferred from one system to another system as the delay may be with the connectivity, system performance, server performance and the environmental conditions. Transfer rate is the amount of data that is transferred between the devices and is referred as the throughput. The data transmission from smaller to larger networks seems to vary with low speed connectivity and high speed connectivity. Upload is to check the fastness of the data that can be moved from the local system to the server system on the internet. When using a high speed internet system the upload values should be very much similar to the download values. Download terms the speed of the connectivity to download the content from the internet to the local system. Any sort of network that operates in out local area isn’t that reliable as it does not offer the full speeds that offer. They may be varying every minute as of the system performance, server performance and the ISP maintenance.

Verizon is the largest operators of the wireless network in the United States. They have in fact the largest mobile telecommunications network with 91.2 million customers. Verizon has been setting records regularly by having the second largest revenue in the wireless technology in the entire United States. Their speed test tools was created for their customers to check the connection status and the connection speed. This is to improve the customer satisfaction and making the company more reliable in terms of their service and reliability.

Verizon internet speed test is used to check the connectivity limitations while uploading and downloading the files when compared to both the performances of the server and the client. Verizon‘s online tool analyzes and provides us the reason for the drawback of the speeds in the internet connectivity. The speed test measures the amount of data transferred from our computer to the internet with in a limited time period. It is the process known as throughput calculation, in this it calculates and finds how fast the system can send and receive the data from client to internet. Verizon internet speed test sends data in a randomly manner for every 10 seconds and calculates the upload and the download speed of the connection measuring the number of bits transferred with in the 10 sec.

Throughput value that is calculated varies on many factors like the type of the cable used to provide the connectivity or the condition of the cable, configuration of the client system or the server system from which data is requested, network congestion and the speed of the server. The Verizon speed test tool measures the time taken for the file transmission in milliseconds and the file size in Kbytes and the techniques used to test are not specific to the operating systems we use. All these tests are in support with the Java enables scripts. For our better understanding different speed test services available provide through different speed values to us when we work on them. This changes in the speed values depends on many factors and the different IP routes they implement. Different routes mean change in performance of the network and also depend on different work loads also. There are many philosophies that evaluate the measurement of the throughput. Many sites refer 1Kilo byte as 1024 bits per second but in implementation it shows as 1000 bits per second.

McAfee is said to be one of the biggest developers of proactive secure systems from known and unknown system threats. It also provides the secure systems for the operating systems world wide, home users and for businesses. McAfee has developed a tool with which we can measure the speed / bandwidth. The speed can be measured for various connections irrespective of the speed of the connection we are using, the connection types can be like the Dial-up connections, ISDN or DSL connection. McAfee uses its speedometer to check the connectivity speed irrespective of the device or the technology we use to browse the internet.

There are many internet connections that vary from computer to computer and this variation depends on many factors that combine to generate the internet speed. McAfee uses a double testing strategy to check the connection speed. In this the speedometer will perform one or two tests on the client system to generate the actual report. Initially it will send the 150 KB file to the system and then it goes with the 600 KB, 1.5MB or 3MB files to check the throughput of the client system based on the file download and the upload time. Based on the time taken to download the file from server to the system the McAfee speedometer does a second test to calculate the accurate throughput value.

During test phase, McAfee’s internet connection speedometer provides the user with a snapshot of the test results. Such results may vary based on various factors. However, one can run the test and check results several times to determine accurate values of the internet speed. McAfee’s utility comes handy while surfing the internet to perform a speed test. This test is simply performed by just opening a new site or downloading a web page and users should not be bothered about the unnecessary files for using up the system resources as there is no impact of the unnecessary files on the system performance.

McAfee’s tool is indeed free and will help users check the throughput value of the internet speed. Resulting figures will help in making decisions such as whether to upgrade the package to a faster connection, change the service provider or check if there are any problems on own computer.

Planning to take advantage of VOIP and other high speed net connections? CNET internet speed test is the one of the services offered by CNET to check the speed of the one’s online connection. Their bandwidth meter speed will check the bandwidth of the internet connection against the top quality DSL connection, cable modem and other broadband services. This speed test is limited to the United States and if any request is made to same server to check the connectivity speed other than United States the results many not be accurate.

Do any one aware what is a bandwidth meter? Bandwidth meter is the device that measures the capacity of the information carrier between the client system and the server system. Once the capacity of the data carrier is tested then the process is said to be initiated to check the internet speed. The process involves different phases while checking the connectivity speed. The CNET bandwidth meter will first download an image to the computer and the image size may vary from connection to connection. The file size of the image will determine the throughput of the connection speed. Once the throughput value is achieved the server will display the stats based on the connection speed and the maximum connection speed of the service provider.

The CNET Internet speed test many not provide us the accurate results because of many factors. The factors include the distance between the client and the CNET’s server, conducting other operations of server download at the time of the speed test, running many services that use the bandwidth while testing the speed, Quality of the cable we use and the environmental changes and while checking the speed connection with the use of 56kmodes, the speed of the 56k modem is regulated to 53k by the FCC. Many of the users perform this test to check the throughput value of the connection regularly from the services provided by the internet speed testers. Here they check the performance and they learn with curiosity to improve the performance of the connection when they check the speed for the next time.
