You get what you pay for, right? Well, we all hope so, but does that old adage count when it comes to your internet connection? Unfortunately, a lot of frustrated users these days find that the answer to that question is increasingly a resounding “no”.
A recent speed test survey by The Wall Street Journal revealed that a number of major internet service providers such as Verizon and AT&T did not always give subscribers the high speeds they were promised. However, things are looking good for users who are subscribed to smaller, local service providers, which were actually found to sometimes exceed the internet speed initially promised by as much as 8%.
