New website, haveibeenpwned.com, lets you check if you’ve been hacked
Over the past year an alarming number of companies have been hit by hackers – including prominent ones, like Adobe. With this in mind, an Australian software developer has taken the initiative and set up a website that can determine whether you’ve been hacked or not. The website, haveIbeenpwned.com, only requires your email address to check if any accounts associated with it have been hacked. The response will be immediate, and you can go ahead and change your password from there.
Troy Hunt, the brains behind the website, is already planning to contribute further data to the website. Considering the inevitable data breaches in store, this is excellent news.
